Premarital Counseling

For premarital counseling, I use the SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) assessment. I will work with you and your partner to help you understand your assessment and what are areas for you to be aware of. We can tailor the number of sessions as you would like.
For longer premarital counseling, I use the Gottman Relationship Checkup. After reviewing the assessment, we will work together to come up with a treatment plan to help you strengthen your relationship going forward. |
Couples Counseling
For couples counseling, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) focuses on the patterns in the relationship with your partner and how to move to healthier and more secure patterns so your relationship can flourish. EFT is based off of 50 years of research on human bonding and 30 years of clinical research working with couples. There are substantial studies that show the effectiveness of EFT: 70-75% of couples moved from distress to recovery and 90% showed significant improvements.
